Daily Prompt: Morphing ~ You Have Been Paged!

Language evolves. The meaning of a word can shift over time as we use it differently — think of “cool,” “heavy,” or even “literally.”

Today, give a word an evolutionary push: give a common word a new meaning, explain it to us, and use it in the title of your post.

Yes, I have paged you, and, no, it has nothing to do with those bleeping little boxes of old: you are on my page, pictures, quotes, smiles and all – not only you have been added, but my page has captured “us”, our friendship, our love, the way you look at me and I look at you…

It may be the page of a blog, a facebook page, or a page in my new book: you are now immortal, for this page can travel in space, in time, transported in an aircraft, sent to the Moon or Mars…

You have been paged: we are now public, it’s official, everyone knows we are together.

#BlogMeMaybe: May 18 – May I share something (not so) funny?

#FollowFridayIt’s been a funny Friday. I started the day well, when I left for the gym leaving the house keys behind the (closed) door. Luckily I had a few coins in the car which allowed me later to buy cod n’ chips at the Bubble & Squeak (very nice and all for a fiver). My Wi-Fi reaches the drive but – sadly – I did not have my iPad (or a book!) with me, just my little Android phone. So had music and Twitter, great relief for the soul. I managed just about to keep up with events, but lost a few hours writing, hence this belated and short post!

So, Mr Z has done his floatation. A good start for the company and we wish well to those enhanced billionaires! The graffiti artist who decorated Mr Z’ office in LA – temporarily forgot his name, he’s also known as @SashaGrey’s bf – must have done well, he got future shares options for his work! My central character – Julien – has a page, evidently, and I’m not terribly happy with it. This is rather funny, since the novel has stalled a month ago, so Julien’s existence is precarious anyway. But then how many fictitious characters do you think we have on FB? Not her, surely! Smiles… Have a good week-end.
